What is the first thing you would do to generate leads?

The channel which will give maximum impact at an effective cost per conversion. First cab off the rank is typically reputational PPC. That stands for pay per click, from directory websites that capture reviews of your product or service. Your target market visit these sites when they are ready to buy.

I use agencies or off-shore teams to manage my digital ads. What more can I do?

Use data to manage digital ad partners.

Digital ads can be an incredibly effective way of driving growth. However, managing those digital campaigns is challenging and often requires a third-party agency. Without strong client oversight, agencies will selectively present data that makes it look like your campaigns are always improving (when really they haven’t touched your account for weeks). That’s why it’s important to build your own dashboards that tie directly into Google Ads so that you can manage your agency partners to ensure your campaigns are always getting better.

Social media is not a platform to generate leads in the B2B space. Think of it as a diligence platform where prospective buyers can ‘suss you out’. Social media is a place to sell your brand and culture, not your product/service.
